Because additional approvals were required, the consideration of the bill regulating mining on the territory of Russia has been postponed to 2023, according to Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma’s Financial Markets Committee, as reported by «РБК-Крипто».
The terms and rules for it will be laid out in another bill, which was due to be submitted to the State Duma in 2022. According to Aksakov, this document also requires additional approvals.
Earlier in November, the State Duma registered a bill regulating mining and the subsequent sale of cryptocurrencies. The document obliges individuals and legal entities to report to the tax authorities on mined coins, with the address to which they are credited.
In December, the Committee on the Financial Market backed the bill’s passage in the first reading.
