Mining farm shut down in an Abkhazian village
An illegal farm of 31 ASIC miners was discovered in Abkhazia. This was reported by the republic’s Interior Ministry.
The equipment was located in the village of Yashtuha in the Sukhum District and belonged to a 29-year-old local resident. Authorities drew up a protocol against the offender.
The mining devices were seized and placed into custody.
Earlier in April, Abkhazia’s authorities extended the ban on cryptocurrency mining and the import of goods intended for this activity until the end of 2022.
The republic imposed fines and criminal liability on miners due to electricity shortages and frequent outages on the power grids caused by overloads.
