The head of one of Moscow-based companies invested in the development of software for a cryptocurrency exchange. However, subsequently, the software was posted online, and the rights to the product belong to a foreign firm. This is according to TASS, citing sources in law enforcement.
According to the applicant, he agreed to finance the development of software for the cryptocurrency exchange in March 2018. Over several months he transferred a total of $550,000 to the head of the development company.
The software was ultimately posted online. The rights to it belong to the company whose ultimate beneficiary is the head of the development firm. He has not responded to the investor who funded the development.
Police have begun a probe into the investor’s complaint.
Earlier in January, the investor accused the team behind the startup International Taxi Company, which is developing the blockchain taxi service, in embezzlement.
