Unknown assailants stole from a Moscow resident 6 BTC and 70 ETH worth about 11.2 million rubles, according to the local police.
In November, the victim accessed the personal account on blockchain.com via a QR code, but found that all funds had disappeared from his account.
Subsequently it emerged that the Russian had navigated to a phishing clone of the site.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into the incident.
