On the Bitcoin wallet of Alexei Navalny’s campaign, transferred 1.16 BTC (over $40,300 at the time of writing) since the politician’s return to Russia. From January 17 to 20, 33 incoming transactions were received.

Over the wallet’s entire existence, more than 653.4 BTC has been transferred to it.

“The inflows do not correlate with price; they correlate with political events. So now, of course, there is a sizable uptick,” said Leonid Volkov, head of Navalny’s campaign, in a ForkLog commentary.

On January 17, Alexei Navalny returned to Russia from Germany, where he had spent almost five months undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after poisoning with a substance from the Novichok group. Upon arrival at Sheremetyevo International Airport, he was detained and placed in custody. On January 19, the Khimki City Court sent the politician to pre-trial detention for 30 days.
