The token features a picture of a multicolored ape wearing red heart-shaped sunglasses with a crown on its head.
The deal ranks second in the history of the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection. The lead is held by Bored Ape #3749, sold on September 6 for 740 ETH (about $2.92 million at the time of the deal).
In the last month, this is already the third sale of a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT valued at more than $1 million. On September 30, Bored Ape #2087 was bought for 769 ETH (~$2.27 million), and on October 14, Bored Ape #5199 — for 425 ETH (~$1.59 million).
Earlier, the owner of an NFT from another popular collection CryptoPunks refused to sell the token for 2500 ETH ($9.49 million at the time of the bid).
Back in September, a set of 107 Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs went under the hammer at Sotheby’s for $24.4 million.
