NFT startup Immutable raises $200m at a $2.5bn valuation

Australian NFT startup Immutable has raised $200m in a Series C financing round led by Singapore-based Temasek.

The round also included Mirae Asset, ParaFi Capital, Declaration Partners, Tencent Holdings and others. Investors valued Immutable at $2.5 billion.

The Sydney-based firm is best known for NFT games Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians, as well as the Ethereum layer-2 protocol Immutable X.

The capital raised will primarily fund growth via mergers and acquisitions.

As reported in September 2021, Immutable raised $12.5 million through the IMX token sale on CoinList. It took less than an hour.

In the same month, the startup closed a Series B round of $60 million.

In February 2022, GameStop announced the launch of an NFT marketplace in partnership with Immutable.
