
OKCoin awards six-figure grant to Bitcoin developer Marco Falke
The Bitcoin Core developer Marco Falke has become the fourth beneficiary of a grant from the cryptocurrency exchange OKCoin.

The platform noted Falke’s contributions to the development and promotion of Bitcoin. He is among the most active developers and is currently focusing on improving the test infrastructure that underpins the network’s reliability and security.
Falke will also participate in the modularisation of Bitcoin Core’s code to streamline the work of Bitcoin developers.
OKCoin CEO Hong Fang said the company is ‘motivated to invest in Bitcoin, as it has fundamental significance for the development of the industry’.
The size of the grant was not disclosed, but it is a six-figure sum.
In total, including the latest grant, OKCoin has provided Bitcoin developers with $500,000.
Previously the exchange funded the BTCPay Server Bitcoin payment-processing service, as well as Bitcoin Core developers Fabian Jahr and Amiti Uttarwar.
