The founder of the OKEx cryptocurrency exchange, Star Xu, made his first statement after a month-long silence, Bloomberg reports.

According to Xu, he is cooperating with Chinese police as part of an investigation into a case involving a merger of equity capital with the participation of his company OK Group several years ago.
\n
Xu emphasised that the investment vehicle has become the focus of a ‘complex’ legal dispute.
\n
He did not disclose details of the case.
\n
“Authorities have obtained information on this matter, proving my innocence. In the coming days I will contact everyone who supported OK Group to express my gratitude,” Xu wrote on WeChat.
