OpenAI has launched its most affordable subscription, ChatGPT GO. Currently, it is available only in India, but there are plans to expand to other regions in the future.
We just launched ChatGPT Go in India, a new subscription tier that gives users in India more access to our most popular features: 10x higher message limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads, and 2x longer memory compared with our free tier. All for Rs. 399. 🇮🇳

The plan is priced at 399 Indian rupees ($4.6). For comparison, the cheapest Plus subscription currently costs $20 per month.
Compared to the free version of ChatGPT, the new GO offers:
- 10 times more message limits, image generations, and file uploads;
- twice the memory, allowing the chatbot to provide more personalized responses.
The expansion of ChatGPT GO to other regions is planned after gathering user feedback. The company’s efforts to increase the geographical reach of the subscription are also mentioned on the support page.
In early August, OpenAI Vice President and Head of ChatGPT Nick Turley announced reaching 700 million weekly active users. In March, the figure was 500 million.
Earlier in August, OpenAI launched the new flagship model GPT-5.
