OpenAI Introduces Free Image Generator in ChatGPT

The AI startup OpenAI has introduced the ability to generate up to two images per day in the free version of ChatGPT using the DALL-E 3 model.

To use this feature, one can open ChatGPT and request the desired image. 

For creating more works, a ChatGPT Plus subscription is required.

The DALL-E 3 algorithm can use ChatGPT prompts to generate images. For instance, the AI can be asked to create a logo for a mountain restaurant or a felt-style collaborative work drawing.

GPT-4o: A “Medium” Politician

Alongside the image generator launch, OpenAI published a document detailing safety measures and risk assessments of its flagship AI model. 

GPT-4o debuted in May. Before the model’s release, the company employed a team of security experts to identify its vulnerabilities and risks, such as voice cloning, erotic and violent content, and reproducing copyrighted audio. 

Experts assigned the AI a medium risk level in persuading people politically through generated text. The ability of the neural network to create quality political speeches was evaluated. 

According to assessments, GPT-4o is relatively safe concerning cybersecurity, biological threats, and autonomy-related harm. This suggests that ChatGPT is unlikely to cause direct harm to people. 

Back in late July, OpenAI introduced an alpha version of the advanced voice mode GPT-4o and announced an AI-based search engine, SearchGPT.

Later, Elon Musk resumed legal proceedings against the company.
