ORDI meme token up 45% in 24 hours, market cap tops $1.2 billion

The market capitalisation of the ORDI meme token surpassed $1.2 billion. This is the first crypto asset of the BRC-20 standard to reach such values.

The price of ORDI is approaching the $60 mark. The token ranks 57th in CoinGecko’s ranking.

Over the past 24 hours the coin has risen 45%, and over the past seven days — 198%.

After listing on Binance, the token rose by more than 700%.

In early November, representatives of the largest exchange warned that the token is “relatively new and carries higher than usual risk”. The token will be assigned the so-called Seed Tag, indicating substantial volatility of the financial product.

Earlier, Binance announced the launch of the Ordinals Inscription Service. The move makes it easier for users to create Bitcoin-NFTs.
