PancakeSwap goes live on Polygon zkEVM network

Developers of the decentralized exchange PancakeSwap launched the third version of the protocol in beta on the Polygon zkEVM network.

The integration will deliver lower fees and faster transactions. Gas fees on the network will range from 0.01% to 1%.

“The expansion of PancakeSwap v3 to Polygon zkEVM marks the beginning of a new era for DeFi. With seamless swapping, liquidity provisioning, improved efficiency, reduced transaction fees and increased network throughput, we bring decentralized finance capabilities to a broader audience,” the project team said.

According to data from Defi Llama, at the time of writing the total value locked in Polygon’s zkEVM network stood at $28.57 million.

For PancakeSwap this is the fourth integration — the exchange supports the BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Aptos.

In April 2023, the DEX team introduced the third version of the protocol. It provides liquidity providers with the ability to concentrate capital in specific price ranges, as implemented in Uniswap v3.

On March 27, the launch of a zero-knowledge-proof-based Ethereum scaling solution (ZKP) took place. Polygon zkEVM supports Ethereum-compatible code and enables developers to use existing tooling and infrastructure.

More than 50 Web3-projects have already deployed about 6,000 smart contracts on the protocol. Among them are Lens, Aavegotchi, 0xvix, Quickswap, Etherscan, Phantom, Midnight Society, Luganodes, Celer, Gameswift and Yeeha Games.

said Aave was preparing to integrate on Polygon zkEVM.

Earlier, the Uniswap community approved the deployment of the protocol on a ZKP network.
