Pavel Durov Interrogated in Paris for the First Time
On the morning of December 6, Telegram founder Pavel Durov arrived for questioning accompanied by his lawyers. This was reported by 20 Minutes, citing AFP.
The billionaire expressed his “trust in the French justice system” but refrained from further comments. The details of the interrogation remain undisclosed.
The Telegram founder was detained at Paris Le Bourget airport on the evening of August 24.
Investigators charged him with a series of crimes related to organized crime, including complicity in the distribution of drugs, child pornography, and refusal to provide information upon request by authorized bodies.
Five days later, Pavel Durov was released on bail of €5 million with the obligation to report to a police station twice a week. He is also prohibited from leaving France.
Durov denies the charges against him.
Earlier in September, the Telegram founder announced enhanced moderation of the messenger.
