The Propy platform for real estate deals will stage an NFT auction of a Kyiv two-bedroom apartment, the purchase of which in 2017 was recorded using the blockchain. сообщает TechCrunch.

The auction will run for 24 hours, the starting bid will be $20 000 in cryptocurrency.

The non-fungible token the buyer will receive includes:

In the course of the transaction, the seller signs documents that, via the NFT token, will transfer ownership to the auction winner. The winner becomes the owner of the apartment within a minute after filling in the data for KYC.

The company will announce the start of bidding later.

Earlier in September 2017, Michael Arrington, through Propy, purchased an apartment in Kyiv for Ethereum, with ownership registered on the blockchain.

As part of the deal, Arrington remotely exchanged 212.5 ETH ($60 000 at the price prevailing at the time). The buyer paid all transaction costs with PRO tokens.

In October 2018, Propy announced the first real estate sale on the blockchain in Europe.
