Former Google chief executive Aparna Chennapragada has taken the post of Director of Product at Robinhood, the crypto-friendly platform. According to a company statement.
Chennapragada will oversee all of the platform’s products, design and research. Company representatives said that the appointment of the new top executive would enable Robinhood to create solutions that will make finance more accessible.
At Google, Chennapragada led the development of various products across the search engine, virtual assistant and YouTube.
Earlier Bloomberg sources reported the platform’s to confidentially file for an IPO in March.
In January–February 2021, the Robinhood mobile app audience grew by 6 million.
