Robinhood launches beta version of a non-custodial Web3 wallet

The online broker Robinhood has launched the beta version of non-custodial Web3 wallet.

Built on Polygon, the wallet will allow commission-free trading of more than 20 cryptocurrencies supported by the decentralized exchange 0x. Additional revenue will come from direct access to DeFi and NFT segments, as well as the ability to connect to dapps.

During beta testing, Robinhood Wallet is available to 10,000 users who in May were the first to sign up for the early access waitlist for the product.

Ahead of the launch, Robinhood listed USDC last week. The broker’s team thus plans to offer retail traders an asset that is “easier to trade, without fearing volatility”.

Back in April, Robinhood acquired the Ziglu startup, which develops its own app for storing and managing cryptocurrencies.
