Roche Freedman founder withdraws from lawsuits against Tether and Tron
Roche Freedman co-founder Kyle Roche filed a notice to withdraw from participation in class actions against statement of withdrawal from participation in Bitfinex, Tether, the Tron Foundation and HDR Global Trading. The attorney had previously been accused of involvement in paid-for cases.
At the end of August on the CryptoLeaks appeared a series of videos in which Roche says he used ‘the litigation process as a tool to disrupt the operations of competitors [Ava Labs] and to draw regulators’ attention to the latter’.
In the recordings, the lawyer also admitted to using litigation services as a ‘strategic tool to support’ the company behind Avalanche.
Ava Labs founder Emin Gün Sirer refuted CryptoLeaks’ accusations. The lawyer himself described the published recordings as ‘illegally obtained, heavily edited video clips that are not presented with their exact context’.

«Video footage has been taken out of context and edited during concealed filming by Norwegian investor Kristen Ager-Hansen, who works for Dfinity founder Dominic Williams», Roche wrote.
According to him, Williams is a defendant in a securities fraud and insider trading case brought by Roche Freedman, and Kristen Ager-Hansen arranged a meeting to discredit him.
The attorney also added that his firm has been working with Ava Labs since 2019. He denied any collusion with Emin Gün Sirer.
Roche Freedman still has several open suits against other players in the crypto market, including Nexo, Solana Labs, Dfinity, BAM Trading and Celsius Network.
CryptoLeaks has accused Ripple of ties to Roche Freedman. Its head Brad Garlinghouse said that ‘has never met or spoken with’ Roche.
