ROCKI launches NFT platform to sell music tracks as tokens for artists and their fans
The music streaming service ROCKI has launched NFT platform for artists and their fans.
The platform’s primary aim is to ensure fair compensation for creativity.
“The annual earnings of a musician on streaming services total only $200. The NFT platform opens up new revenue streams for independent artists and brings them closer to their fans,” the statement said.
Musicians will be able to sell licensing rights to their works, and fans will become promoters for their idol and earn from the resale of tokens.
Thanks to the decentralized auction protocol Bounce.finance, which enables ROCKI’s integration into the Binance Smart Chain blockchain, more than 300 NFTs have already been created on the platform.
The initial participants in the project were the electronic duo Blond:ish, DJ Nick Warren, and others.
“NFT is a new, exciting way to engage fans. I hope they will take the world of music to a new level,” said Nick Warren.
