In Russia, a virtual assistant powered by AI has been developed for psychologists, reportedly doubling productivity, service quality, and revenue. This was reported by TASS Science, citing the press service of the Ministry of Science and Innovation Policy of the Novosibirsk Region.
“The program helps automate processes and focus on the client, enhancing specialists’ productivity. […] The application includes personal accounts for psychologists, where they can maintain a client database, view and edit consultation notes, and create therapy quality reports,” the statement reads.
The AI-based program automatically records speech and transcribes session content, analyzes emotional reactions and cognitive distortions. After a session, clients receive homework assignments and submit them through the AI assistant. The neural network analyzes the work and adds information to the database.
The tool reduces the workload on psychologists, maintains efficiency, and helps prevent burnout.
Developers emphasize special attention to data confidentiality and security.
Previously, it was reported that users have been employing ChatGPT as a psychologist, despite privacy concerns.
Back in July, Chinese scientists grew an artificial brain and implanted it in a robot.
