Russian Football Union to conduct vote on Polys blockchain
On October 2, delegates of the Russian Football Union’s annual conference will participate in remote voting on the Polys blockchain from Kaspersky Lab. ForkLog was told by representatives of the company.
Nearly 160 delegates from across the country will simultaneously use the system, available from any device — computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
The blockchain will make vote tampering impossible and ensure the integrity of the tally.
The vote is weighted, meaning the system will collect and tally votes with varying significance depending on the voter’s status.
“Each participant will be able to verify whether their vote has been counted, and also see its weight,” said Alexander Sazonov, head of the Polys project.
Polys blockchain system was introduced in November 2017.
It has been used to conduct votes for the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Ecsite nonprofit network, elections to the student councils of RANEPA and the Higher School of Economics, and elections to the European Youth Parliament in Germany during the pandemic.
