S7 Airlines adds another partner to its blockchain platform

The airline S7 Airlines announced the integration of Nemo.Travel, the online ticketing system, with its blockchain platform. ForkLog was told by company representatives.

The blockchain solution from S7 TechLab enables more efficient, secure and rapid intercompany settlements between the agent and the airline, according to the press service.

“For working with online travel agents we use a product developed on the basis of the IATA NDC standard – the S7 Agent API, which provides agents with direct access to all S7 Airlines services,” said Igor Veretennikov, Deputy CEO for Sales at S7 Group.

The S7 Airlines blockchain platform was developed in partnership with Alfa-Bank. It is based on the Hyperledger Fabric protocol.

In August, S7 Airlines and Sberbank announced the start of ticket sales via the blockchain platform for the bank’s corporate clients.

In September, Raiffeisen Bank joined the platform.
