Sam Trabucco, who held the post of co-CEO at Alameda Research, announced his decision to leave the company.

“I think that’s it. … I’ll miss it. … If I learned anything at Alameda, it’s how to make the right decisions—and this is the right decision for me,” he wrote.

The top executive explained that he would remain at Alameda Research in an advisory capacity, without authority.

According to Trabucco, he had been gradually reducing his role because at present he cannot devote enough time to work. He added that he had reached a period in his life when he would like to prioritise other areas.

Trabucco explained that recently he had been truly happy, spending a lot of time traveling, visiting friends and family, and pursuing self-improvement.

“At the moment I don’t have other projects or anything of that kind, but I wouldn’t rule anything out in the future once I feel more ‘recovered'”, — said the specialist.

The role of the sole CEO has passed to Caroline Ellison, who had served as co-director since October 2021. In 2018 she joined Alameda as a trader.

Forbes включил Trabucco in the list “30 Under 30” of promising and successful young Americans.
