Scroll DAO Halts Operations Amid Leadership Issues

Scroll DAO pauses operations after leader resigns.

The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) of the second-layer solution Scroll has “paused” its operations following the resignation of its leader, according to delegate SCR known as Olimpio.

He clarified that the organization intends to review its governance model rather than completely cease operations. Existing proposals remain valid.

According to Olimpio, the main leader of the organization, known as Eugene, left the project for unspecified reasons. As a result, the remaining leaders “were not entirely sure which proposals were in progress and what had been approved earlier.”

“In short: they are restructuring governance, but future actions are unclear. I think they will choose a centralized approach. There is currently no clear communication, transparency, or plan,” added a member of the Scroll community.

Olimpio ranks fourth in governance power with 176,000 SCR delegated.

Later, the user also reported being banned from the Scroll Discord server.

The official account of the network commented on the situation only the day after Olimpio’s post. The Scroll team provided no additional details.

The organization will postpone consideration of new proposals until final changes are made to the structure.

Back in June, the team behind the Solana aggregator Jupiter suspended DAO voting until 2026 amid community criticism.
