
Sequoia Capital China leads CertiK’s $80 million funding round
The smart-contract security auditing startup CertiK raised $80 million in a Series B2 funding round. It was led by Sequoia Capital China.

The round also included Tiger Global, Coatue Management and GL Ventures. Total investments exceeded $140 million, with the startup valued at nearly $1 billion.
In light of the news, the price of the CertiK token (CTK) rose by more than 70% over the last 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.
Earlier the startup attracted $37 million from hedge fund Coatue Management, Shunwei Capital and the venture arm of the Bitcoin exchange Coinbase.
Earlier in August CertiK was backed by Tiger Global and GL Ventures in a round of $24 million.
