SkyBridge Capital Applies to Register a Bitcoin Fund

The investment company SkyBridge Capital, founded by financier Anthony Scaramucci, has sent to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) заявку to register a Bitcoin fund.

Approval from the SEC would allow the company to launch the SkyBridge Bitcoin Fund L.P. for accredited investors. Scaramucci will serve as the fund’s executive director.

The assets of the SkyBridge Bitcoin Fund are not disclosed. The firm, which manages $9.2 billion, has set a minimum investment of $50,000.

Analyst Kevin Rooke noted that SkyBridge Capital “is significantly increasing its bet on Bitcoin”.

As reported in November 2020, SkyBridge Capital filed with the SEC applications, which, if approved, would give it access to digital assets.
