Snowden explains his negative stance on meme tokens

The former employee of the NSA and CIA in the United States, Edward Snowden, said that he has a negative attitude toward ‘dog’ tokens such as Dogecoin or Shiba Inu.

Leave the nice dog man alone. I’ve never been a fan of any flavor of dog money, because a) I am a humorless scold and b) I think a lot of earnest people will mistake it for an investment and get hurt, but Billy has imo always tried hard to be a positive voice.

According to Snowden, he dislikes such tokens because of his poor sense of humor. He also noted that many people take meme coins seriously and may incur losses.

Against the backdrop of rise in popularity of such assets, scammers have become more active. The Shiba Inu team behind the project warned users about the spread of fake project groups on social media.
