Solana Labs has begun taking pre-orders for a Web3-oriented Saga smartphone from users in 33 countries.
Saga will ship to 33 countries at launch.

To join the waiting list, a $100 deposit is required, refundable if not accepted. The final price of the Android-based smartphone will be $1,000.
Delivery is slated for early 2023. In the first wave are the United States, Canada, the EU, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. The team said other countries would be considered in the future.
The waitlist users will receive an NFT Saga Pass and a ticket to influence the development of the Solana Mobile Stack platform.
The device will support Google Play Store on par with the Solana dApp Store.
Saga was introduced in June 2022. The device is a custom version of a smartphone from OSOM with built-in cryptocurrency wallet features.
It comes with the Solana Mobile Stack toolkit, enabling the creation of decentralized mobile apps. Saga will allow storing NFT, signing transactions and paying via Solana Pay.
The device features a 6.67-inch OLED display, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The smartphone is built on Qualcommโs Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
In June 2022, the Taiwanese company HTC released the Desire 22 Pro smartphone with support for the metaverse and NFTs.
