The Canadian automotive company Daymak announced that the first prototype of its electric vehicle, the Daymak Spiritus, has begun test mining of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies. The process is being streamed on YouTube.

The Spiritus is equipped with a graphics processor that runs mining while charging or parked. Profits are directed to the built-in Nebula Wallet.

According to the video, the car’s hashrate is over 181 MH/s. Power consumption is 487 W. Daily profit is estimated at about $14.95.

The company plans to patent the underlying technology behind the Daymak Nebula and offer it to other automotive brands.

Spiritus will go on sale in 2023. Pre-orders are available at a fixed price of $18,495.

Earlier in June, Daymak announced the release of a three-wheeled electric vehicle with a mining option. In the first 60 days, pre-orders for this line totaled $350 million.

Payments are accepted in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Cardano.
