Analysts detected a transfer of approximately 799 ETH (around $2.5 million) from the L2 network Arbitrum to Ethereum.
The perpetrator also executed a transaction involving stablecoins DAI exceeding $820,000.
The attack on KyberSwap was one of the largest breaches in the crypto industry in 2023. In November, the attacker drained assets worth $47 million from the protocol’s pools.
The project team offered to return 90% of the funds for a 10% reward. However, the hacker demanded full control of the project.
About a month after the incident, KyberSwap announced a 50% staff reduction due to “unprecedented challenges.”
Earlier, the exchange’s team promised to compensate those affected by the hack with grants from the treasury.
In 2022, the project reimbursed clients with 265,000 USDC stolen in an attack.
