Survey finds crypto-industry participants ready for the AI era.

59% of crypto users view the integration of artificial intelligence with blockchain technologies positively. The findings come from a KuCoin exchange study, which ForkLog editors have reviewed.

Experts surveyed 1,125 respondents worldwide in May 2023. A hallmark of the study is the comparison of attitudes toward the technology among generations X, Y and Z.

The results showed that:

• 90% have used or plan to use AI to increase the efficiency of daily life;
• 64% of respondents are at least somewhat familiar with applications that combine AI, blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency trading;
• the most popular tool among respondents turned out to be the ChatGPT chatbot. It is preferred by 51% of respondents;
• 59% of respondents would like to use AI applications in the fields of blockchain and trading;
• privacy and security concerns worry 48% of users;
• 45% of respondents fear losing control over AI and the automation of jobs, which could lead to layoffs. Greater concern is observed among older users.

Overall, Gen Y and Gen Z demonstrated a higher level of adoption of the technology than Gen X.

According to researchers, the trends underscore growing interest in artificial intelligence in the crypto industry. KuCoin’s chief executive Johnny Lu said the survey results will underpin future efforts to create ‘cutting-edge solutions and push the industry forward’.
