Tether Acquires 30% Stake in Italian Media Company Be Water

Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has acquired a 30% stake in the Italian media group Be Water. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.

According to an insider, the deal is valued at approximately €10 million ($10.8 million).

Be Water owns the podcast studio Chora Media, the platform Will Media, and is involved in film production and distribution through its company Be Water Film. 

Chora Media collaborates with Bloomberg News to create the podcast series Quello che i soldi non dicono.

The deal is part of Tether’s new investment strategy. The company is actively diversifying its investments, covering a wide range of industries—from agriculture to artificial intelligence and neuroimplants.

As reported in 2024, Tether achieved a record $13 billion in net profit.

Last month, Tether acquired a minority stake in the Italian football club Juventus.
