Tezos to sponsor Manchester United, reports say
The blockchain platform Tezos is set to become Manchester United’s new sponsor, The Athletic reports. The parties are reportedly agreeing on a multi-year partnership worth more than £20 million per year.
The previous eight-year deal was with insurance broker Aon and expired at the end of last season. The club is currently operating without an official training sponsor.
According to the publication, the club has held talks with several potential partners, including a number of blockchain companies. Under the agreement, Tezos will place its logo on the team’s training kit.
The journalists claim that the deal has already been signed and the football club has shot the corresponding promotional materials.
Hoffenheim FC in the Bundesliga also announced the deal in the cryptocurrency sphere. The Baby Doge project will become an official club partner and help it launch an NFT collection.

The meme-token logo will appear on LED boards during the team’s home matches. The parties will also release a jointly branded merchandise line.
In December, FC Spartak Moscow announced a partnership with meme cryptocurrency Floki Inu. A month earlier, the project concluded a similar cooperation with the Italian Napoli.
Earlier in September 2021, the payments platform Crypto.com became the sponsor of the French football club Paris Saint-Germain.
