Best Wallet is a non-custodial mobile wallet for Android and iOS. At the time of writing, it supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon and other EVM-compatible networks. The developers plan to release a browser extension.
Users of Best Wallet can store, buy and sell cryptocurrencies, stake them and make cross-chain swaps on the built-in DEX. In this article we test the wallet and outline its features and the BEST token.
Testing the wallet
To register in Best Wallet you can either enter an email or sign in with a Google/Apple account. We chose the former.
After confirming the email, the wallet suggested enabling two-factor authentication, setting a password and allowing push notifications. Some steps can be skipped and completed later in Settings.
On registration the app creates a Main Wallet. Users can add new wallets or import existing ones:
- in Settings—choose Manage wallets, then tap “+”;
- on the Manage your wallets tab—swipe left/right, then tap “+”.
We created a test wallet—set a name, chose a colour and wrote down the seed phrase. It appeared as an additional tab on the home screen.
To export a wallet, go to Settings or the Manage your wallets tab. Note that Best Wallet lets you export created wallets only via the seed phrase. The exception is the Main Wallet, for which only the private key is available.
Deposits and token swaps
To fund the test wallet we went to the Trade tab, tapped Receive and sent BNB to the specified address.
We then swapped BNB for wrapped ATOM (BEP-20): chose the wallet and tokens, then confirmed the transaction.
Best Wallet supports cross-chain swaps across Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon. In such cases the app warns of higher network fees.
To ease transfers, the developers say they will soon add an address book for quick repeat transactions, as well as a table with a detailed breakdown of fees.
Buying crypto and in-wallet apps
Best Wallet users can buy and sell crypto with bank cards. The wallet selects service and payment providers to secure the best available rate.
Although Best Wallet itself requires no KYC, third-party services may require identity verification.
In the Apps tab, tokens can be staked via integrated dapps. It also lists market-analytics tools and decentralised exchanges.
What the BEST token is for
BEST is Best Wallet’s utility token; holders will be able to make transactions without gas fees and receive additional rewards in airdrops.
The coin is sold directly in the app—on the home page and in the Apps tab. The team also credits BEST via the Best Airdrop for completing daily tasks and taking part in various activities.
The project plans to issue a crypto card with cashback and to expand the number of supported blockchains to 60. The team also intends to add futures trading, a news feed, a portfolio and an NFT gallery.
Acquired tokens can be staked with yields of up to 176%.
Conclusions
Best Wallet is a multi-currency crypto wallet with simple onboarding, cross-chain swaps and a built-in browser. Its developers have announced support for 60+ networks, the launch of a crypto card and the addition of new trading tools.
Holders of the BEST utility token will conduct transactions without gas fees. The coin can be bought on the project’s website and in its app, and earned via the Best Airdrop for completing daily tasks.
