The Weeknd to release a song as an NFT

Canadian singer Abel Tesfaye, known by the stage name The Weeknd, announced a song in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT).

“A new song in the NFT space. Coming soon…”, wrote The Weeknd.

Details such as the release date, marketplace, edition size and prices are not known.

The NFT marketplace OpenSea replied to Weeknd’s tweet with two emojis: a microphone and a blue heart. The artist did not respond.

Earlier, American rock band Kings of Leon released their eighth studio album “When You See Yourself” as an NFT.

Earlier, Elon Musk unveiled a techno track about NFTs as an NFT and promised to put it up for sale, but backtracked.

Grimes, the girlfriend and mother of Tesla head Elon Musk’s sixth child, sold a collection of non-fungible tokens containing unreleased music for $6 million.
