
TikTok Introduces AI Avatars for Advertising
TikTok has announced the introduction of generative AI avatars for content creators and actors, aimed at advertising and brand promotion.
Custom Avatars are designed to embody a creator or brand representative. Authors can create multilingual avatars to expand reach across different countries and collaborate with brands. Brands have the option to create avatars featuring their representative or author to localize a global advertising campaign.
Additionally, Stock Avatars are available—pre-made avatars featuring paid actors from various countries and nationalities. TikTok aims to provide companies with the opportunity to add a human touch to their content through these avatars.
The company is also launching an AI Dubbing tool for creators and brands, intended to broaden the reach of advertising and content. This new feature allows material to be translated into 10 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. It automatically detects speech, transcribes, and adapts it to create dubbed content.
The new features will be available in TikTok Symphony, a suite of generative AI-based advertising solutions launched in May.
Back in December 2022, TikTok increased the transparency of its recommendation algorithms.
Earlier, the social network banned the promotion of digital assets and began a crackdown on bloggers promoting cryptocurrencies.
