TIME’s 18-month digital subscription costs $49. Readers paying with Crypto.com tokens will receive up to 10% cashback.
At the time of writing, the feature is available only to residents of the United States and Canada. In July 2021, the company will open payments to users from other countries.
In March TIME sold three of its own covers in the form of non-fungible tokens for 241 ETH (around $529,000 at the rate at the time of writing).
Earlier in April, the magazine announced a series of videos about the Bitcoin industry, for which the asset manager Grayscale will pay in digital gold.
