The director of products, mobile games and emerging markets for the streaming service Twitch, Shaan Puri, diversified his own investment portfolio by allocating 25% of his funds to Bitcoin.
Puri, who previously served as CEO of the social network Bebo, wrote on Twitter:
I have moved 25% into Bitcoin 🌝

One user asked what prompted Puri to take this step, noting that 25% is a fairly large bet.
“I think this is a rare opportunity to get ahead of the wave of institutional capital that will come into Bitcoin over the next two years,” the entrepreneur replied.
He added that the current bull run of the first cryptocurrency differs in many respects from 2017.
From 2017 to 2019, Shaan Puri served as CEO of the now-defunct social network Bebo. After filing for bankruptcy in 2013, Bebo changed owners several times, and last year came under Amazon’s management.
As an angel investor, Puri says he invests about $2.5 million annually across 25 different startups.
In July 2020, Twitch offered a 10% discount on streamer subscriptions if payment was made using Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC).
