
Trader loses about $1.1m in crypto after sending to the wrong address
An unknown user sent about $1.1 million in AAVE tokens to an incorrect address. The TokenOops service flagged the transaction.

Instead of the intended wallet, the trader sent 28,000 AAVE tokens to a smart contract that does not provide a function for returning funds.
On the smart contract lie on the contract, and other coins were irretrievably lost.
On October 11, an unknown person transferred over 10,000 LEND tokens to this smart contract (about $4,800 at the rate at the time).
In October alone, nine more people made the same mistake, but their losses did not exceed $11.
Earlier in September, an unknown user by mistake sent $1 million in USDT to the Swerve.Finance project’s smart contract instead of a wallet. The funds were returned thanks to Paolo Ardoino, the CTO of Tether.
In August, an investor lost 1,400 BTC, after using an older version of the Electrum wallet.
