We continue to monitor activity in the crypto markets and assess it from a technical-analysis perspective.
S&P 500
As expected, the impulsive rally has already been solidly absorbed. Volumes have yet to form, and there is nothing for the price to bounce off. At the moment, a small consolidation in the $3,600–$3,800 area could form, but in the medium term a decline in prices is more likely.
BTC
In the previous update, a wedge pattern was noted, in which the price attempted a breakout — statistically, such formations rarely play out in a flat market. The current case is no exception. At the time of writing, a clear false breakout is forming.
Movement within the range of $18,400–$20,400. The price failed to hold above $20,400, so a rise to that level is not currently in focus.
Prices are being squeezed into a narrow rising channel, with the base at $18,400. Below this level there is ample liquidity, which should be enough for the price to drop below $17,600. Even within a flat scenario, one should now expect movement toward the lower boundary — a high likelihood of the asset trading below $19,000.

По сравнению с 8 сентября на последнем отскоке ликвидировано несопоставимо мало шортов, несмотря на техническое обновление максимумов двухнедельного диапазона. Инвесторы верят в позитивное движение котировок при выходе из четырехмесячного накопления.
Позитивные настроения, основывающиеся на слухах об отказе Fed от повышения ставки, рассыпались. Ситуацию усугубили a negative unemployment report и ожидание квартальных отчетов IT-компаний, акции которых после этого могут показать схожую с Tesla динамику.
Согласно отчету Sentiment Analysis, который никак не зависит от фондового рынка, нет предпосылок для движения вверх.
Необходимо также отметить ложный пробой на дневном таймфрейме биткоина, восходящий канал и неудачную попытку штурма отметки $20 400.
Подводя итоги, для первой криптовалюты ситуация остается весьма шаткой. Как минимум, в скором времени должно быть движение к $18 400-$18 600. Как максимум, выход из четырехмесячного накопления вниз.
