Trump’s Gala for TRUMP Token Holders Sparks Calls for Guest List Disclosure
Democrats have accused U.S. President Donald Trump of creating a channel for selling political influence through cryptocurrencies, reports The Block.
The occasion was a private dinner for 220 major holders of the TRUMP meme coin, hosted by the president at his golf club in Virginia. Guests were served steak, halibut, and chocolate dessert, with posters bearing the slogan “Fight Fight Fight” — a nod to the token’s issuing company — adorning the tables.
Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal claimed that the Trump administration is concealing the list of attendees, which may include representatives of foreign states:
“He is selling out America. Jeopardizing national security.”
Legislator Elizabeth Warren described the event as a “backdoor for buying political decisions,” suggesting that China or Russia could use tokens to influence the White House.
The administration declined to release the guest list, emphasizing that the dinner was a personal initiative of Trump, not an official event.
Confirmed attendees included TRON founder Justin Sun, Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu, and BitMart head Sheldon Xia.

Meanwhile, Congresswoman Maxine Waters introduced a bill to ban government officials from issuing cryptocurrencies, labeling TRUMP a “scam” and a threat to national security.
Previously, a similar initiative was proposed by Sam Liccardo, calling for restrictions on Congress members and their families engaging with the crypto market.
Skybridge founder Anthony Scaramucci, in an interview with CNBC, acknowledged the president’s contributions to digital asset regulation but criticized the event.
According to NBC, the cost of attending the dinner ranged from $55,000 to $37.7 million.
Back in April, TRUMP buyer Morten Kristensen and four of his friends received invitations to the gala dinner with U.S. President Donald Trump, spending about $1,200 per seat.
