Trust Wallet Adds Cross-Chain Swaps via THORChain

The Trust Wallet team has added cross-chain swaps to the non-custodial wallet thanks to the integration of the THORChain protocol.

THORChain — a decentralized Cosmos-based protocol that enables users to swap assets through liquidity pools across networks such as BNB Chain and Ethereum. The project also supports operations with synthetic assets.

The integration will make cross-chain transfers more secure and easier to execute. In particular, there will be no need to rely on centralized intermediaries. There are no service fees for such transactions.

At the time of writing, THORChain supports swaps involving Bitcoin, Ethereum, BEP-2 tokens, including BNB and BUSD.

Users of Trust Wallet can also swap assets between the Binance Beacon Chain (BEP-2) and Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20).

Swaps via 1inch enable intra-network exchanges. Eight EVM-blockchains are supported — Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Gnosis and Fantom.

The developers promised to release an iOS version of the wallet. For now, it is available on Android devices.

As reported, after reports that MetaMask collected user data, the community proposed using Trust Wallet and Rainbow.

Earlier, the cross-chain bridge aggregator appeared in ConsenSys’s non-custodial wallet.
