The non-custodial wallet Trust Wallet now lets users convert digital assets into fiat currencies directly in the app, project representatives told ForkLog.
The feature is implemented in partnership with infrastructure providers Ramp and MoonPay.
The new feature enables investors to enter into and exit from crypto through the wallet, without relinquishing ownership and without needing intermediaries from centralised exchanges.
Trust Wallet will also offer users with a balance of more than 100 TWT tokens (~$120 at the time of writing) discounts on withdrawal fees.
The team said it would provide clients with ‘the best quotes’ for selling their assets for fiat.
\”In a turbulent market, we believe this timely launch will give users the choice of what to do with their crypto, via leading gateway providers and a simple interface,\” said Eric Chan, Product Director at Trust Wallet.
MoonPay co-founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright noted that the company has been collaborating for two years. He added that the new integration would broaden accessibility and ease of use of funds in the DeFi space.
Earlier in April 2022, MoonPay helped the MetaMask wallet implement the ability to directly purchase cryptocurrencies with fiat.
