31 October 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper — an innovative payment network and a new kind of money.
To this day, it remains unknown who lies behind the pseudonym of the creator of the first cryptocurrency, and whether it was a single person or a group of people. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey previously expressed admiration for the idea of concealing Bitcoin’s authorship under a fictitious name, and called the white paper “poetry”.
