Twitter demonstrates NFT verification system
The head of Twitter’s marketing department, Justin Taylor, published a video demonstrating the interface for working with non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The social platform will allow users to use their latest NFTs as avatars.

The video was recorded by senior Twitter engineer Mada Aflak. To set an NFT in place of your profile photo, a user must connect a digital wallet and select a token. Next to the avatar, the blockchain on which the asset was issued will be displayed.
Users will also be able to show others their NFT collections — the social network will add a corresponding Collectible tab to the activity menu.
The features on display are under development, so the menu layout and the functions themselves may change. A release date remains unknown.
On September 23, iOS Twitter users gained the ability receive donations via the Lightning Network. To do this, you need to connect an external service to your profile, such as Cash App.
At the same time, the company announced plans to add an NFT verification system to the social platform.
Earlier, after the launch of Bitcoin donations on Twitter, the number of nodes and channels in the Lightning Network rose by 23.68% and 22.24% respectively.
