Two Bitcoin exchanges have been licensed in Uzbekistan

The National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP) of Uzbekistan issued licenses to cryptocurrency exchanges Crypto Trade NET and Crypto Market.

Both firms are listed in the registry of crypto-asset service providers.

According to NAPP, the exchanges are intended to facilitate the purchase and sale of digital currencies for citizens.

«Crypto Trade NET and Crypto Market became the first crypto shops in the CIS and Central Asia», the agency added.

Earlier in August, Uzbekistan’s regulator restricted access to unlicensed crypto exchanges and exchangers. Authorities required services to register as providers of services to operate in the country.
