Ukraine: Real estate can be bought with stablecoins

The DIM Group, the first among Ukrainian developers, разрешила clients to purchase property with stablecoins.

In the initial stage of the project rollout, payments are accepted in four coins: USDC, USDT, BUSD, DAI. The list will be expanded over time.

Property can be purchased with stablecoins in all of the DIM Group’s residential complexes. Authorised agents will execute the sale agreement in accordance with Ukraine’s current legislation.

In the future, the developer plans to migrate to a Web 3.0 ecosystem, which will enable recording deals on the blockchain, deploying smart contracts, and issuing ownership-rights agreements as NFTs.

“Investors will be able to easily access information about transactions and ownership rights for each property,” commented the DIM Group.

In June 2021, TechCrunch founder and Bitcoin investor Michael Arrington продал киевскую квартиру в виде NFT for 36 ETH (more than $93,000 at the time of the deal).

In March 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on Virtual Assets, which regulates the circulation of cryptocurrencies on Ukrainian soil. Thanks to the document, bitcoin exchanges can operate legally in Ukraine, and banks have gained the ability to open accounts for cryptocurrency companies.
