Ukrainian monobank to allow customers to buy Bitcoin

In July, the Ukrainian mobile bank monobank will issue Bitcoin cards, through which customers will be able to buy and sell cryptocurrency. This was reported by co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky.

The bank will also integrate with an unnamed cryptocurrency exchange. According to ForkLog sources, monobank’s partner will be the WhiteBit exchange.

According to Gorokhovsky, the project development is complete and awaiting approval from the National Bank of Ukraine.

In addition, the team is working on eSIM support for a mobile operator and improving the acquiring service. Both initiatives will be presented in August.

By autumn 2021, monobank will offer investors stock trading via an unnamed American platform.

Earlier in February, Oleg Gorokhovsky admitted that holds a sizeable portfolio of bitcoins.

In the same month, monobank ceased SEPA transfers from the cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
