The revised draft bill incorporates current international standards for regulating operations with digital assets, he noted.
According to Bornyakov, bringing digital assets into the legal framework will ensure the lawful operation of international cryptocurrency exchanges, allow citizens to tokenise property rights, and the state will guarantee judicial protection of rights to cryptocurrencies.
Earlier, in the first reading the Verkhovna Rada passed the bill ‘On Virtual Assets’ in December.
It complements the previously adopted law implementing FATF norms to counter money laundering and terrorist financing.
