On January 22, in a preliminary vote, the community approved the initiative. As a cross-chain bridge to connect Ethereum and the BNB Chain, Wormhole was chosen.
According to results as of February 10, 65.89% of participants supported the relevant Plasma Labs proposal, while 33.57% opposed. Among the latter was venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, which used all 15 million tokens available to it.
On February 6, the founder and CEO of DEX aggregator Li Finance, Philipp Zentner warned Uniswap against a Wormhole-only option. In his view, an independent solution with multiple cross-chain bridges is “a win-win option for everyone.”
Earlier, Cinneamhain Ventures partner Adam Kokran suggested that Uniswap may implement a user-verification system in the next version of the protocol.
